      POSITION OBJECTIVE:
      Manage all the marketing activities of the company, developing the marketing strategy and ensure maintenance of service delivery levels to satisfy customers. The Marketing Manager will also ensure increasing customers base and revenues by developing a competitive market mix. In doing so, we expect the Marketing Manager to perform the following duties and responsibilities
      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AREAS:
      To develop short term and long term marketing strategies to develop customers profiles and revenue streams
      To conduct the analysis of the market and develop the responsive strategies. Forming the long-term partnership with Shipping Lines and other Key Players in the Freight and Forwarding Industry.
      Will be responsible for cost effectively BRAND development strategies such as the use of Online marketing methods and road shows.
      To develop the efficient and effective communications strategies such as Promotional copies and others to attract big pull of Customers within a short period of time.
      Deploying International marketing strategies and standards to attract International customers / companies / organizations
      To have very close working relationship with Vendors in and outside Tanzania.
      To Manage the business operations and staff to enable the company to reestablish the capability to pitch for transit cargo to nominated location.
      To ensure all regulatory requirements to engage in the clearing and forwarding business in Tanzania are up to date and available all the time.
      To ensure a good PR with different Government organizations including TRA, TFDA, TBS, Government Chemist, ICDs, Ports and others
      Sometime will be required to prepare invoices, send quotations to clients and proceed to negotiate
      To price the customers as per the market equilibrium, therefore Manager will be required to check fiscal prices, customs requirements, clearing fees and be knowledgeable of all costs.
      Study cost estimates to get the optimal and most efficient shipping, transport and clearing method
      Negotiating with shipping lines, airlines, transporters and agents
      Ensuring good quality customer service levels are achieved.
      Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time
      REQUIREMENTS:
      Educational Qualification:
    • Bachelor degree in Commerce, Marketing, International Business, Supply Chain management and or any other business-related degree. Master in Business and / or Professional certifications will be an advantage.
    • Work Experience:
    • 5 to 7 years relevant experience in Marketing in the same Industry (C & F), imports and exports, airfreight and sea freight within the clearing and forwarding industry is nonnegotiable for this position. Special Requirements:
    • Good negotiation & communication skills within the company & externally
    • Self-driven & great leadership skills
    • Great commercial awareness Key Competencies
    • Excellent knowledge of operations in the clearing and forwarding industry
    • Very good know how of all import-export technics (incoterm, insurances, claim procedures, international transport regulations and documentation, payment process) and Tanzania C & F marketing
    • Good knowledge of import goods clearance regulations and process in Tanzania.
    • Decision maker with the ability to prioritize work and implement pragmatic solutions
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), E-mail & Internet, Outlook, ASYCUDA ++ and TANSIS
